And putting in ceiling canned lighting with lots of cans.

Mine wasn’t a remodel, but I had a couple of windows replaced the master bedroom. After installation, I realized that the new windows were flush with the wall and there was no more window sill. I wasn’t too happy about that.

We were remodeling our bathroom, putting in a walk in shower. We added a foot hold, 4 or 5” up, for shaving your legs. We couldn’t add a bench and it works great.

The problem with heated floors is, if they breakdown( like they did none of my swim schools), it is expensive and awful to redo. I used soft yummy rugs…and a new furnace instead.

We had our roof replaced, only to realize a few months down the road that would have been the perfect time to relocate the bathroom vent/fan to the outside as it is in a closed off toilet area and does nothing for removing humidity. Also later I really wanted to put a ventilated hood in my kitchen and it was just too costly with all the work entailed and the amount of time we expect we will be in the house and had budget for sone modest kitchen updates. Hope this helps someone else! Love the sharing of your “I wish I knew before” moments” – will keep in mind!
