Faux Garlands Under $80

I was a loyal “real garland” user for years! Chris and I would trek through the forest and snip a variety of evergreen branches until we had a bundle full in our trunk. Then last year I tried faux garland for the first time and I’ve never switched camps so quickly. I gotta say, faux garland is just so much easier to work with and lasts YEARS….not weeks.

The real kicker with faux garland though is usually the cost. It’s not unusual to find faux garland ranging from $150-$250 for a 6 ft length. I think we can collectively agree that’s a lot, so I found 9 beautiful options that are under $80. (A few of which I own and can personally vouch for!)

This was the garland that made me convert to faux and it’s the one on our mantel in the photo above (with the addition of a few juniper stems)! It’s thick which is why I love it so much and it’s easy to maneuver to create the shape you like.

TIP: I used two strands to span our 9 ft mantel.

When I tell you these feel real…I mean it! It’s a popular garland for a reason and the shapes of the needles make it look so natural! I have a few of these in faux branch form and it’s my favorite holiday decoration.

TIP: These aren’t as stiff so they’re amazing for getting that perfect draped effect.

I love a garland with a little variety and a few frosted needles makes it so charming! With cedar branches, it has a fuller look which is perfect if you want a plush garland on your mantel.

TIP: Add in a few berry branches or real juniper steps to sprinkle in even more variety!

TIP: Cut a few pine branches from nearby evergreens to spruce it up a little. See what I did there? 😉

Strung together like you do with real garland, this pine garland would be great on it’s own, or paired with another garland to add a little texture.

TIP: Add a strand of bells to the end of your garland for an elevated look.
