We styled our porch beautifully in the fall last year and I swear each month since, furniture was moved elsewhere and plants took a turn for the worse over winter. So our porch was looking a little bare by May and it’s been in need of a little refresh for the summer!
I’ve said this before, but Chris and I LOVE to sit on our porch in the evenings sippin’ on coffee/lemonade while we talk about goals, dreams, and aspirations. It’s our way of de-stressing and reconnecting so everything I use to style the porch needs to be just as comfortable and practical as it is beautiful. All that to say…check it out now!
Keeping with the cabin vibe our exterior has, I searched through Walmart’s summer home products for a fresh porch setup and I gotta say, Walmart did not disappoint! They’ve got everything from outdoor chairs and side tables to decor and hosting accessories. And when I say Walmart didn’t disappoint, I mean it…EVERYTHING on our porch is from Walmart Home! (Sources linked at the bottom of this post)
I like to start with my base pieces when styling a porch and in this case, that’s the seating. I’ve missed having a rocker so I narrowed my search to that. Sometimes simple seating is best so you can add layers without it feeling too busy and these rattan rockers with tufted ivory cushions are perfectly casual yet classy. Can’t go wrong with a black and white color palette.
I can’t get enough of a classic windowpane pattern and these set of 2 pillow covers come in a really beautiful tan color that compliment our exterior color so well. (TIP: When using indoor pillows outdoors like I did, I like to spray them with a water and sun shield to repel rain and snow and to keep the colors from fading.)
I like to have a place to hold the beverages and a woven tray is my favorite styling hack to coral all the little things like a pitcher of lemonade, glasses, and a ribbed glass candle that looks as good as it smells.
And finally the finishing touches. I like to fill in the ground and I always keep in mind height variations for an effortlessly layered look. A planter is a no brainer and I’m obsessed with this white woven planter. A rattan lantern sets the mood and my braided coir doormat finishes it off.
It really does feel like an elevated cabin porch styled entirely with Walmart. Loving it so much from top to bottom and I linked all the pieces below so you can shop the look!
