Last weekend I celebrated my 28th birthday the way most March and April birthdays are being spent lately – at home. We had plans for a quick trip, but with all that’s happening with COVID-19 we canceled those plans. Don’t feel bad for me though, I LOVE being home with Chris and my dog and I thoroughly enjoyed my day of games, puzzles, long walks in the woods, and takeout!
Back in December 2019 I was contacted about a potential TV host position with a particular up and coming network started by two interior design/fixer upper/TV moguls… 🙂 Can you guess who?! After a few initial conversations with the casting director I subtly hinted that Chris may be interested in joining me as a host. We recorded a Skype showreel of sorts which was sent to the network and we cautiously dreamt for 2 months about how our lives could change in a flash. In the end, we were not chosen for the opportunity and I’d be lying if I said we weren’t disappointed. But my goodness, what an honor to even be considered! Taking this experience as motivation and a confidence boost that not only are we capable of incredible things….but incredible things can happen to any of us at a moment’s notice!

My eyebrow game has never been more on point! I recently found this $2 clear eyebrow gel that holds my eyebrow hairs in place and I can’t speak highly enough of it! I mean…it’s 2 freaking dollars and it lasts all day!

I’ve been strictly devoted to stud earrings for the past 5 years. That is until I found 2 sets of gold and tortoise mini hoop earrings at H&M. I tried to find a link for them but I must’ve snagged the last set before they discontinued the product. Sad! These gold hoops are nearly identical and this tortoise hoop earring is a beautiful lookalike!

Inset framed cabinet styles have been catching my eye recently. They lean more on the traditional side of design and I love the slim trim door frame that Jyll chose for her kitchen cabinetry! (Saving as inspo for our future bathroom reno.)

Is it weird that I only like salads from restaurants? I’ve never been big on making my own salads at home until Chris introduced me to this Sunflower Crunch Salad kit by Dole. I ate the whole bag in one sitting….SO GOOD!

We’ve been playing games on repeat over here! Farkle, Kings Corner, and a new to us game called Codenames have been our favorites this quarantine! If you have any game recommendations, share them with me in the comment section below!
