Sometimes I stumble upon a hilarious video, I try a recipe that’s drool worthy, or I find a makeup product that’s worth noting! I can’t keep this information to myself so I’m going to start sharing these Notable Things every month!

Remember when I said that beige is back?? It’s everywhere and I’m here for it! I’m especially feeling beige cabinetry and I got major inspiration for our future bathroom renovation when I saw the two photos above! Not that we’re anywhere close to tackling our bathroom, but I’ve been saving photos and inspo for a year so that when we’re ready, I have all the details in place. A beige vanity may just be the missing piece that I was looking for!
It’s been several months of feeling like I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off from the endless pile of work to do’s. And Chris is tired of hearing me say “I feel like my brain is going a million miles an hour.” So we both decided it would be best that I systemize my work schedule. Until now I’ve been waking up at 10am, sitting down to work around 10:30am and tackling the most urgent tasks first (which seem to be plenty). I’d quit around 5pm for a few hours and then stay up till 2am browsing the web or brainstorming ideas for work.
I’m now on a tight schedule of starting work by 9am (I’ve never seen this time of day before!) and quitting by 4pm. I’ve also split up my tasks by day and dedicated 1-3 jobs to each day so that I always know what I’m doing ahead of time and I batch jobs to work more efficiently. I use Trello religiously to create workflows and manage my to do lists. Couldn’t recommend this free program enough! I’m currently on week 3 of my new schedule and it’s going well. Feeling less like a headless chicken and more like a real professional!
In my search for new artwork for the office, I stumbled upon this Etsy shop with the best vintage inspired oil paintings. So many options to pick from and at such great prices! I bought this artwork for the office and love it!
I listen to comedy on a regular basis and I think Instagram is picking up on that. They recently recommended a new-to-me comedian and this clip gets me laughing every. single. time. (Disclosure: there is some foul language so be aware of that if you have kids around)
Last year I switched from powder foundation to liquid foundation for the first time in my life and it was as if I had never used makeup before! Took me almost a full year to figure out how to do my makeup with liquid, but thanks to Youtube makeup tutorials, I think I figured out my new routine. After trying countless foundation brands (Make Up For Ever, Bare Minerals, Loreal, Urban Decay, and more) that smeared, caked up, and smudged, I found my current favorite foundation – Lancome. It really does last all day and feels light on the skin.
I was feeling somewhat uninspired in the interior design world until I randomly searched “modern restaurant design” on Pinterest and was flooded with new inspiration that isn’t typically seen in residential design. I pinned so many ideas for our home that got me excited to start another project! Should probably finish the office makeover first I suppose… (If you don’t already, follow me on Pinterest for loads of interior design inspiration!)
I’m a creature of habit, especially when it comes to food. So when I find a recipe that I love, you better believe we eat it on a weekly basis until Chris vetoes my right to choose the meals! Currently loving this (healthish) version of pizza – it’s pita bread with ground beef, mozzarella cheese, black olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese. And I’m not one to like a healthier version of anything, but this got me!
I’m not a regular Walmart shopper but I was stuck there while my car was in the auto shop. As a result I found these Walmart sneakers in a pretty blush color and I wear them erryday! You can’t expect me to roam a store for 2 hours and buy nothing!

Beige is back!?! Oh no, I’ve been in the process of painting our beige walls, and I can’t stand that color. At least not right now. I’m loving the artist you bought the print from. I got my eye in a border collie dog print as we have one! Thanks for the post!
🙂 Who knows, maybe in a couple years you might like beige again! And yay, I’m glad you like the artist as much as I do!!
