There’s nothing that rejuvenates the soul more than a surprise date, ice cream, and the return of The Bachelorette! With our home renovations feeling really heavy lately, it felt absolutely glorious to step back and breathe for a week without the pressure of making any major decisions. Chris surprised me with a hiking date on the most beautiful day! We drove around the city we used to live in and we passed the college where we met (which sadly isn’t operating anymore). That day reminded us how thankful we are to be where we are today and how much we miss the hustle and bustle of downtown city life.

Chris and I have been on a pudding craze lately and I found the most delicious homemade chocolate pudding recipe! It reminds me of the pudding my mom used to make for me as a kid. YUM!
-
I’m a little late to the game but Downton Abbey is just as good as everyone said it was!! We just finished the show and we were glued to the screen at every opportunity we had.
-
BTW If you haven’t already watched Dream Home Makeover on Netflix you are missing out!! It’s a new home renovation show by Studio McGee and we binged all the episodes in 2 evenings! It’s that good.

In case you missed our exterior color saga last week, we painted our house….twice and we’re going for round 3 soon. Thank GOODNESS for our paint sprayer! It only took 3 hours to paint our entire house with this sprayer….like we ate dinner, painted the whole house, and were done by 7pm! I would’ve happily paid double for this sprayer because of the ease it brings to an otherwise daunting task.

Maybe it’s just a hoax, but these dryer sheets seem to actually help get the dog hair off our clothes in the dryer.

Neither Chris or I have ever claimed to be major polished nickel fans. We would’ve easily chosen brass over nickel any day, but this past week we both realized on separate occasions how beautiful nickel can be against black or any dark color. A black door with a polished nickel handle or a dark bathroom wall with a nickel faucet is effortlessly classy! Take the photo below for example…that bridge faucet in nickel is perfect against the black vanity and backsplash!
