14 VINTAGE PAINTINGS UNDER $100

If you haven’t already noticed, vintage paintings are making a statement in the design world! Although my love for them was rocky in the beginning, I’ve officially fallen deep in love with vintage artwork! I’m still very particular about what vintage art I put in my home…I mean there’s a fine line between Grandma art and trendy art. But after a thorough Etsy search, I found 14 vintage paintings (and prints) that I love and would put in my home!

I’m particularly fond of 5, 6, 9, and 12 and I purchased #5 for our home office makeover! Can’t wait to show more of that in the upcoming weeks!

Now I have a couple tips when it comes to selecting vintage art for your home –

1. Choose a painting with a similar color palette (or a complimentary color palette) as your home.

2. Don’t be afraid to replace the frame – most vintage paintings (especially those found at thrift stores) come with a frame. If you love the painting, but not the frame, it’s fairly easy to replace the frame with something that suits you and your home.

3. Think about size – if you have a specific spot that you want your painting to go, be conscious of what size art would fit. I have tips for art size and placement here.
