I’m really excited today because I’m launching something that came to me at 1 in the morning last week and it just feels right!
I get a lot of design questions in my inbox and I’ve always referred my readers to outside sources who they can hire to get advice from. And I still totally recommend hiring a design professional to handle the big, complicated projects like designing a kitchen & bath or nailing down your home’s layout. But sometimes you just need a second opinion on a light fixture or the stain color for your wood floors. Maybe you’re not sure what the style of your exterior is and you’d like to phone a design friend. That’s where I come in!
For the first time, I’m opening the door to your design questions and every month I’ll pick a handful to answer on my blog…for free! In my upcoming “Dear danica” blog posts, I’ll share your design questions (and any photos you send my way) and I’ll offer my opinion, advice, and thoughts. I think this will be a really fun way to both answer your questions while helping many other readers who may be dealing with a similar situation.
So what type of design questions and dilemmas am I accepting? Well…I’m not able to design a room from start to finish or plan a kitchen layout, but I am able to offer my opinion on the things that have had you stumped for weeks/months/years. Think –
“What would you do with this big blank wall?”
“I’m debating between two flooring options, which do you like better?”
“Should I paint my baseboards and window trim or keep them wood?”
“What kind of rug would you recommend?”
I’ve created a “Dear danica” page where you can submit your design questions and every month, I’ll select a few questions to answer and share with my audience. I can’t wait to solve your design dilemma!
Hi Danica,This is a very generous service you’re offering. You’re going to be swamped with requests.Including one from me. 😉
Haha I welcome it!
