I’ve been working full time on Nadine Stay since 2014 and everything I did was centered around selling products. I refinished furniture and made my own decor (shoutout to jute wrapped beer bottles that were trending back in the day….how!?!?) and I sold everything I made at local fairs and markets.
I never intended to sell products online but back in…ohhhh I wanna say 2016 maybe?….my sister-in-law had a mega roll of bubble wrap that she was trying to get rid of (random I know) and she asked if I wanted it in case I would start selling my products online. I remember declining the offer because, at the time, diving into shipping logistics was totally overwhelming and I had ruled that out of my future. But she dropped it off anyway saying “just in case cause I know you can do it!” So I had a giant roll of bubble wrap staring at me every time I went to the basement until months later I finally said to myself…” “Ok I’m just gonna do it! I’m going to start an online shop!” Who knew bubble wrap had such an influence on my journey. 🙂
So I started selling a small collection of products that I loved and used in my own home. Decorative accessories, vases, kitchen gadgets, blankets, pillows, and a whole bunch of random but beautiful pieces.
I’ve said this before, but Nadine Stay is the sum of a series of transitions and today brings another transition. After a year of thinking, I’ve decided to close down my online shop. I’m at a place where I want to choose one or the other. “Do one thing and do it well” has been in my head repeatedly and while I’ve loved shipping my favorite pieces to your homes, I also know that the blog is where I want to put my focus right now.
And to be extra clear, because I’m already getting messages from people (haha), Nadine Stay isn’t done!!! While the shop side of Nadine Stay is wrapping up, I’ll continue to blog every week giving design tips, tackling DIY’s, and sharing our renovation journey. That alone is a full time job (+ more) and I’m really looking forward to honing in on that.
With that being said, I’m starting a liquidation sale and everything in my shop needs to go. I’m secretly very excited to get my basement back! 🙂 Orders over $100 ship free* and once things are gone, they’re not getting restocked. Pieces are selling faster than I expected (thank you!!) so grab what you want while you can!
Here are a few of my favorites still left –

Danica, I had to laugh as I am a fairly new reader in the last few months and thought: "she has a shop?" Which validates your assessment of the situation. I really enjoy your blog and I am so glad to know it will be continuing. Have a great day!Julie
haha precisely! 🙂 Thank you for hanging out with me on my blog…there’s plenty more to come!
