SOURCES: Vintage Rug Shop Sneakers Socks Leggings
I bought my very first authentic vintage rug! Last week I read some tips on how to find the best vintage rugs and I found myself scrolling through this shop on Etsy. Everything was/is 70% off and the minute I saw this rug, I bought it for the kitchen.
And after receiving it, I get it. I get why vintage rugs are so desired. I love vintage replicas, but nothing compares to the real deal. I also get why they’re so expensive. High demand, quality work, and there’s a lot of hunting required to find ones in the right size that aren’t cut to size out of a larger rug. That being said, for some reason the aqua blue is clashing with the rest of our house. The only colors we have in our home are desaturated and this rug stands out a little too much. So now I have to decide if I keep it just in case I find another spot for it or sell it. I’m leaning towards selling it.
In the meantime, I already purchased a replacement runner in the beige family that (hopefully) doesn’t compete with the other colors in our home. Hint: it’s one of the rugs I linked below!
In my search for a runner for the kitchen, I saved 34 others that had me doing a double take.
