One minute white is all we can talk about and then *bam* beige takes its place! From warm beige furniture to “dirty white” walls, we’re seeing all shades of beige in interior design and I love it!
Last month I finished my beige dresser makeover and you guys made me blush with all your sweet words! I was pleasantly surprised by how many of you gushed over the color I chose (Accessible Beige by Sherwin Williams) but I get why…it’s just as beautiful in person as it is in the photo!
Truth be told, I haven’t fully moved on from white walls yet (although I did just paint our walk-in closet dark brown and I have no regrets), but I have certainly found myself gravitating towards warm whites. That light tan/creamy white is speaking to me and the beige cabinetry that are filling my Instagram and Pinterest feeds are stunning!
So obviously I’m not redoing my new kitchen and you couldn’t pay be $1,000 to repaint my entire house…so how does one incorporate beige in the home?!
Simple…rugs, wallpaper, artwork, or furniture! My beige dresser is a staple piece of furniture that acts as an accept color all on its own. Tan was the foundational color of my DIY color block painting and it pairs perfectly with the bronze frame I made for it! Soft beige vases, tan rugs, and antique artwork are all perfect ways to add any unique color into the home without making major changes.
Looking to copy my refurbished dresser and DIY painting sans the DIY? 😉 Here are 8 beige dressers and 8 pieces of beige art that I’m loving right now!
